Train Smarter.
Race Better.
HYROX-specific coaching from a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Build the strength, endurance, and race-day confidence to actually finish what you started — and stay healthy doing it.
What Is
HYROX?
HYROX is a global fitness race that combines functional strength with running. Athletes complete eight workout stations — ski ergs, sled pushes, burpee broad jumps, wall balls, and more — each separated by a 1km run, for a total of 8km of running and 8 functional work stations.
What makes HYROX unique is that it rewards well-rounded fitness: pure strength isn’t enough, and neither is pure endurance. The athletes who perform best train the specific demands of the race — pacing, transitions, strength under fatigue, and mental toughness.
HYROX events are held worldwide and welcome athletes of every experience level, from first-timers to elite competitors. As an official HYROX Club Partner, Greater Heights Physical Therapy helps you train the right way from day one.
The Greater Heights Difference
Most gyms can help you get fit. We help you get fit and stay healthy doing it — because we bring physical therapy into your performance training from day one.
1-on-1 Coaching
Every athlete has different strengths, weaknesses, and movement patterns. Your training reflects that — no cookie-cutter programming here.
PT Meets Performance
As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Guy identifies mobility restrictions, movement inefficiencies, and injury risks that most coaches simply miss.
Race-Specific Training
We train the actual demands of HYROX: running efficiency, strength endurance, pacing strategy, and transitions between efforts.
Built to Last
Overuse injuries are one of the most common setbacks in HYROX prep. We help you keep progressing without unnecessary breakdowns.
HYROX Performance Assessment
Before we build your training plan, we need to understand how you move, where you’re strong, and what might hold you back. Your assessment gives us the full picture — so every recommendation is built around you.
You’ll leave with a clear, personalized action plan for your HYROX preparation.

What We Help You Overcome
Most athletes hit the same walls when preparing for HYROX. Here’s how we address them.
Running Fatigue
Improve mechanical efficiency so you spend less energy per kilometer and have more left for each work station.
Strength Endurance
Build the ability to maintain output across all 8 stations. HYROX rewards consistency, not just peak effort.
Station-to-Station Recovery
Learn how to manage your breathing, heart rate, and effort between stations so you’re not buried by the halfway point.
Overuse Injuries
Increasing training volume is where most athletes get hurt. We help you build load progressively and catch problems early.
Race-Day Confidence
Arrive at the start line with a pacing strategy, practiced movements, and a plan — not just hope that training was enough.
This Training Is For You If…
You don’t need a specific background or fitness level to start. You just need a goal and the willingness to train with intention.

Schedule Your AssessmentFAQ
Do I need experience to start training for HYROX?
Not at all. Many athletes begin with little or no race experience. Training is adjusted to your current fitness level and builds progressively from there.
Is this only for competitive athletes?
No. HYROX attracts participants of every background, and training plans are scaled to fit your goals — whether that’s completing the race or chasing a podium.
Can physical therapy actually improve my performance?
Yes. Identifying movement limitations, mobility restrictions, and mechanical inefficiencies can meaningfully improve both race performance and your ability to stay healthy while training hard.
Do I need to be injured to work with Greater Heights?
No. Many athletes use performance-focused physical therapy to improve movement quality and prepare for competition — not just to recover from injury.
How far out from my race should I start training?
The earlier the better, but we can work with any timeline. If you’re more than 12 weeks out, we have time to build a complete program. Closer to race day, we focus on the highest-impact areas first.
